On September 12, Diia.City Union met with First Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Ivan Havryliuk, and Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine for Digital Development, Digital Transformation and Digitalization Oksana Ferchuk.
This meeting was held at the request of the Union's member companies to agree on areas of cooperation between the state and the Defense Forces, defense-tech and IT companies, and to find specific points of interaction.
Representatives of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine shared the current priorities of the newly formed team headed by Minister Denys Shmyhal and presented 8 priorities of the Ministry of Defense digitalization - from launching the Impulse system and the military register to automating defense resource accounting, creating a loss accounting system, implementing a medical information system and forming an IT vertical in the troops.
They also discussed the modernization of logistics processes, production development, the need for IT personnel, protection of Ukraine's position in the global arms market, arms exports in the context of the adoption of the laws on “Defense City”, as well as further steps to implement this new space for defense companies.
We would like to once again thank the team of the Ministry of Defense for the substantive discussion and willingness to cooperate with the technology sector. In turn, Diia.City Union has already begun collecting cases, requests and proposals from businesses for further processing together with the Ministry 🤝
